It is the belief of the editor of FRC that foreskin restoration information should be accessible to any person who
feels the personal need or desire to restore their foreskins, which were often removed as babies without their consent. That being said, there are some words of wisdom from a lawyer meant to protect us, educate and protect you, and to ensure that if you are a minor, that your parents or guardians are aware of sites you visit of an adult nature, or those dealing with sexual health.
If you are under 18, there is a risk that your parents or guardians might be offended by you restoring your foreskin non-surgically and/or viewing this site. After all, they chose circumcision for you, as they were likely told it was the best thing for you. They may not understand why you feel the need to undo what they chose for you unless and until they learn more. They may even be very displeased with even the suggestion that your are discontent with your appearance.
Although non-surgical restoration, done properly, is very unlikely to cause you any physical harm, and has many benefits (especially noticeable for older adults), it requires some discipline, attention to detail, and is a long process that can be undertaken at any time. You may also need some mentoring and professional advice, which cannot be usually be appropriately provided to you until you are 18 year of age or older.
We advise you:
1) To consider that you need not be in a rush to restore and you could do so at any time in the future.
2) You may feel embarrassed, but discuss the matter & information carefully with your parents, guardians or doctor if you are not 18; (besides - parental support can be extremely useful for young men who are restoring!)
3) Disclose to them any websites, individuals contacted, and other information you may have accessed on the subject;
4) Encourage them to email us directly if they need information or reassurance;
5) A useful tool to aid any discussion with your parents are books on the subject.
6) If you decide to continue reviewing the information on this site, or links from this site to others, or use the public chatroom or forums, you must realize that you are likley to be confronted with information presented for adults. It is meant for medical, informational, and educational value and reaons only.
