Just Starting to Restore Your Foreskin? After you have clicked on the link and read the "How do I Start" article, there are some things you should consider before getting started, so you don't cause yourself medical issues like wounds or scarring. Any pain being felt while restoring is a sure indication that skin damage is being done. Restoring can be gently uncomfortable but should never be painful. Never, ever, tape, or apply your foreskin restoration device on your penis to restore while you are even a little bit irritated (ie. red/deep-pink raw or itchy skin, or full out sores or 'tears' in the skin). Chances are that if you ignore these irritations or wounds while restoring, you will end up growing a ragged and rough looking foreskin. Check the "methods comparison chart" located in the Foreskin Restoration Link Directory to determine which restoration methods/devices are safe to wear to bed. Some can cause considerable skin and penile damage if you end up having an night-time erection (99% chance of that happening nightly!!) T-Taping (see FRC Link Directory again for T-Tape methodology) is almost the only method available to sleep while wearing. There are also some commercial products that are safe at night as well, but be absolutely certain to check out the "Specific Methods of Restoration" in the "FRC Link Directory" and look for the "Foreskin Restoring Methods Comparison Chart" and go there. Progress will almost always seem instantly fast for the first few weeks of constant application of your restoration device. Then it will slow right down. The first few weeks of restoring is not really growing much new skin, it is more maximizing the elasticity of your skin, elongating the normally round-shaped skin cells (prolonged elongation of the penile skin cells is what restoration is aiming for, as this is the immedate precursor to new skin cell growth!) So when things slow down after the first few weeks - DO NOT GIVE UP. You are STILL growing new skin cells, but this is a long term process. Many men report about 1" - 2" of new foreskin GROWTH per year (these men being moderately regular and consistent with wearing their restoration device/method)
