INTRODUCTION

A while back I replied to a message on the restore list about manual tugging and since then had a number of people asking me for more details, so here goes.

Manual tugging may not be for everyone who is restoring but as best as I can tell it has a number of advantages over any other method I have tried. The biggest problem with manual tugging is there is VERY limited on the web about it. Therefore very few people have tried it and even fewer that have tried it long enough to refine the methods and get the great results that manual tugging can give with just a few minutes a day of effort. YEP THAT’S RIGHT - great results without something hooked to your penis for hour’s everyday.

A common misconception is that manual tugging is slow and that getting a full restoration with manual tugging will take much longer than with other methods, as best as I can tell after about 9 months of manual tugging that has no basis in truth. In fact as best as I can tell it is actually much faster if done right.

The first thing to do is understand how manual tugging works.

Take a rubber band and stretch it, as you pull harder and harder feel it stretch until it reaches a point where it becomes stiff and will not stretch any more. That is the point you need to stretch the foreskin to in order to get good results from manual tugging. The difference is that with the rubber band you can get it to stretch to that point in just a second or 2 and with the foreskin it takes a good 5 minutes, as I will demonstrate shortly.

What do you need to get started?  Not much!!

1) A comfortable place to sit is nice I like an easy chair or     recliner.

2) A clock with a second hand, nice but optional.

3) Some Kleenex or other brand of tissue and a scissors to      cut it with is also good to have but optional.

4) 2 hands 2 arms and a wish to restore are a must. J

5) I almost forgot a felt tip pen or marker is also handy but      once again an option.

Now How do You Start? I will get to that next in Part 2

Manual tugging getting started (part 2)

In writing this I must first point out that I did not start manual tugging until I had already been restoring by the more common methods for about 2 years so I am writing this from the perspective of someone that already has quite a bit of skin to work with, however I think that most all of this can probably be adapted in a number of ways to work just great for someone with much less to work with but I cannot say from personal first hand experience.

Ok to get started set aside about a half hour of time when you will not be interrupted. Also these instructions will work best if you have not been doing any type of restoration for the last 24 hours.  First take a sheet of Kleenex or other brand of tissue and cut it in half the long way so that you have 2 long strips of tissue about 2 inches wide and 6 or 7 inches long. Set them aside for now.

Next sit down somewhere comfortable. I find a nice easy chair or recliner is best but anywhere will be OK.

First grasp your foreskin like you are trying to find the POE for applying T tape or something similar. Now pull it upward toward your stomach as far as possible. bend over a bit and find the absolute furthest up point on your stomach that you can pull the foreskin to and put a small mark there with a felt tip pen or other marking device. If you don’t have a pen you can use a freckle, mole or what ever for a reference point.

Now you are ready to get started. Pull your foreskin up as far past the end of your glens as possible. If you have enough skin already this will form a skin tube (for lack of better words) that extends past the end of your glens. Now take the fore finger of your right hand and wrap one of the half sheets of Kleenex or other tissue around your forefinger as tightly as possible without tearing the tissue starting at your finger tip and wrapping upward in a spiral taking care to keep the tissue as smooth and unwrinkled as possible. This is to give better traction or grip this is optional but can be a big help if you have oily or moist skin.

Next take the finger that is wrapped with the tissue and set it at the end of your penis at the tip of the glens and pull the skin tube up around it as far as you can. Hold it there as best as you can and take your left hand and sort of form a OK sign using your thumb and forefinger wrapping the OK sign around the outside of the skin tube fairly tightly. Not so tight as to cause pain but tight enough to get a good grip and press your foreskin around the finger that is wrapped with tissue.

Using both hands pull upward toward your chest until you reach the point that it is about to start causing discomfort and keep pulling for about a minute or a little more. As you continue to pull you will probably feel the initial stretch coming out of your skin and find out that you can pull a bit harder without causing discomfort.

You will probably find that you can pull with a good bit of force without any pain or discomfort and that after a minute or 2 it will cause your arm to get kind of tired but that’s all right you can stop about now and rest a couple of minutes and then repeat the process. If you want to you can switch hands. After doing this for the second time once again grasp the foreskin as if you were trying to find the P.O.E. and pull it upward toward your stomach again as far as you can. If all went well the foreskin should be able to be pulled a fraction of an inch past the mark that you put on your stomach at the beginning. Continue the whole process over again a time or 2 and see if you can now stretch the skin any further.

When you get to the point that after additional tugging you can not gain any additional distance further up your stomach you are finished for the day!

You
have gotten all the stretch that is possible just like the rubber band that I talked about a while ago. From what I have discovered after months of manual tugging is ff you continue tugging after this point you will not be helping to speed the restoration process up a bit and may  actually slow it down. Don’t ask me why because I don’t know; this is what I have found through personal experience. Your mileage will vary. Also if you check later in the day you will find that even after several hours you can still stretch the skin to the same point of maximum stretch on your stomach, it will take almost 24 hours to return to the almost the length it was before you started and that would be my guess as to why it seems to work as good as conventional constant tension methods and as best as I can tell better than 24-7 tugging.

In Part 3   I will discuss what the rest of my personal ideas are behind this.

Manual tugging why it works so well (part 3)

All this theory I am about to talk about is based on what I have read anywhere and everywhere I could find any information of this type for the last 3 years and the rest of it is just my personal experience or opinion and you should not consider any of it to be 100% proven fact. I am not going to give references for the medical part of this information because I just have not bothered to keep a file on where I found all this stuff.

Ok you have just finished your first session of manual tugging and for all practical purposes stretched the foreskin 5 to 10% and at this point that is all you have done is stretch it like the rubber band in the first example it will return to its original length, well almost. But this will take about 24 hours, while this is happening is when the real permanent progress takes place.

First you have to understand that the cells of your body do not fit together perfectly like bricks that form a wall with no gaps between them. Instead these cells that form skin and muscle are round, well at least more or less and because of this there are small gaps or voids between them kind of like air spaces in a pile of marbles.  Any way you have just stretched your foreskin and caused these gaps between cells to become larger than normal. These gaps will remain larger than normal for the next 24 hours or so. Mean while your body starts to notice these gaps and thinks that the gaps are too large and starts to make new cells to take up space and fill in the gaps. This starts to happen almost right away and once the cells start to form there is no turning back. Once a new cell starts to develop it just don’t want to stop. It will grow and mature over the next 24 hours and try to fill the gaps that just seem to large from your body’s point of view and this is where the actual growth takes place. Just as they have finished developing along you come 24 hours latter with some more manual tugging ready to start the process all over again.

When using other tugging methods the skin is under tension all day and night. During this time blood flow and nutritional supply are restricted and the skin sometimes becomes a bit puffy or swollen; sometimes this condition is referred to as edema. It just don’t sound healthy to me and it probably slows development of new cells but I have seen very little of this problem with manual tugging.

Manual tugging the rest of the story (Part 4)

After sending the proceeding 3 parts a few people that had some questions. After I first posted a message about manual tugging I got this reply.

I would suggest also adding that it is a good idea when guys begin to restore and they don’t have much skin, for them to pull DOWN toward the body.  If they have an erection, no problem—they can use both hands to pull the skin toward the body.  If they don’t have an erection, then they can hold the tip between the thumb and forefinger of one hand and encircle the shaft and pull the skin down toward the body with the other hand. Same tension rules apply.  It works well to start the process before someone has very much skin.  Helps increase the remaining mucosal tissue.

A Recent Update (Part 5)

After reading up a bit on tissue expansion in general and cyclic tension for tissue expansion in particular I developed a slightly new approach. I have found that if I use all the same general procedures above but do the manual tugging while sitting on a wooden chair after gripping the skin tube I can sort of hook my hand over the front of the seat and then rock my body back and forth once every 5 or 10 seconds. This allows me to change the tension level from moderate to very high and back again with very little effort it has proven to be a very easy way to manually tug and so far the short term results seem to be faster than before. As always your mileage may vary!
